Earthquake Miracle Baby
Very early Monday morning the world was informed of a deadly earthquake in Turkey and Syria. With the latest death toll rising to 16,000 deaths, reports say that some parts of Turkey will be “inhabitable for years”.
Amidst the devastation, about 10 hours after the earthquake occurred a 7 pound newborn baby girl was found under rubble still with her umbilical cord attached to her mother. It is believed that the mother was conscious while giving birth but died shortly after along with the rest of her family besides the baby. The baby was found with minimal injuries consisting of a bruised back and a 95 degree temperature. The latest update described the baby in stable condition.
As I read this traumatic story, I was reminded to never take for granted my loved ones and always remember that tomorrow is never promised. We can practice procedures to try to remain safe from guns, fires, and weapons but the forces of nature are ever-so unpredictable and can steal lives and our homes from us at any time.
Wow! This story was very interesting read. You did an amazing job with highlight the key points! It was truly a good reminder to everyone that life is short, and to never take anything for granted. Mother nature can be very scary and unpredictable at any given time.
